WHITE DOVE HAS DIED
Lasse Heikkila, AWF Member

Holy wind, blow gently.
Make a shelter out of sand.
It has been a while since she could fly.
Deep inside her feathers
she had a vision for this land,
but only one shot, and her flight was cut
by man.

So, cry.
The White Dove has died.
Though She finally reached eternal peace and freedom,
see how dark,
see how dark
is the sky.
The White Dove has died
and the world will loose it´s mind again
without her.
See how dark,
see how dark
is the sky.

I had a dream that the White Dove
just before Her final flight
laid an egg into somebody´s heart.
No one knows the person,
but I ask: Could it be You?
Give a new chance to the White Dove.
Let Your heart be warm for Her Child

and cry.
The White Dove has died
Though She always preached eternal peace and freedom,
see how dark,
see how dark
is the sky.
The White Dove has died.
Let Her be born again like a phoenix in your heart
and draw a rainbow on the sky.
Let Her fly, let Her fly,
and the world will find it`s senses if You only
let Her fly,
let her fly,
let Her fly.

We made this song in Finland during the night when the war started, hoping that in the world there would never be a need for a song like this. But the moment when we finished recording, the war started.
